Swype is an application from a Seattle company founded by Cliff Kushler and Randy Marsden to improve the speed of our text input on Nokia S60V5 mobiles like Nokia N97, Nokia 5800, Nokia N97 mini …etc.
We generally tab on each individual characters in order to spell out the complete word. Instead of tapping on each individual letter, we simply move our finger from letter to letter in order to spell out the complete word. Swype looks at our input path and adds the most likely word. If it isn’t certain then it give us a choice.
Swype provides a faster and easier way to input text on any screen. With one continuous finger or stylus motion across the screen keyboard, the patented technology enables users to input words faster and easier than other data input methods—at over 40 words per minute.
