Okay, now you may get some idea about the Chrome on N900.

Coming to the procedure,

Before going to install we need to know some important points.

Point 1: – this is a not a direct installation process like clicking next, next on the screen. It needs to be installed manually like installing packages.

Point 2: – You should have the application called X-Terminal on your Nokia N900.

Point 3: -One more application called Roots on your Nokia N900.

All these applications can be found on your Nokia N900 Application Manager after adding some catalogs. How to add new catalogs to your Nokia N900 can be found here.

After adding all the catalogs, just use the search in the application manager to install the application mentioned in the Point 2 and 3.

Okay, if you have fulfilled all the requirements then follow the bellow procedure,

Firstly you need to go to this site (packages courtesy of Jace Kowski many thanks to him) and download libxss-1.1.3.deb and chromium-5.0.369.2.deb

Secondly you need to have root access.

Then launch a terminal and do

sudo gainroot

cd “wherever you downloaded the packages into”

dpkg -i libxss-1.1.3.deb

dpkg -i chromium-5.0.369.2.deb

Then just start the application and you are running Chromium the opensource version of Google Chrome.

Google have released an extension called Chrome Touch to make it finger friendly.
