FreeSigner v1.01 For Nokia 5800 XPressMusic-Sign & Unsign Applications On Your Mobile

FreeSigner is a signing application which can be installed on our Nokia 5800 XPressMusic mobile and it can be used to sign unsigned applications on our Nokia 5800 XPressMusic mobile itself. In order to sign any application on our mobile or PC we need the certificate and key file, so transfer the certificate and key files to a folder on your memory card, then set the path for the certificate and key files in the signer settings. Also create an output directory where you can find the signed applications. Now you can sign any unsigned application on your Nokia 5800 XPressMusic.
While installing a signed application on my Nokia 5800 XPressMusic I got the certificate error, and then I have followed a procedure to overcome it. And the procedure is as follows
I just opened the signer application and selected the application for which I am getting the certificate error and unsigned it. After that I have selected the same file and signed again with my own certificate and key file and installed happily.
Do it with your own.

I got the certificate and key from OPDA. I now i have downloaded freesigner v1.01 and when i try to install it on my mobile i get the massage ”expired ceritficate”????

Please logon to your account at OPDA and check your certificate expiry date and tell us.
ok…i have sign it on opda and copy it to my mobile, and installation starts but then it stops and i get massage: constrained by the certificat ???? i dont know what that even means…pls help
what application you have signed?
i have signed freesigner…cause if i tried to install it befor that on my mobile it gives me massage : expired certificate…. after i have signed it at installation i get massage:constrained by the certificat… aaaaaaaaa…dont get it
Install the signer in the old procedure (by manually changing the date back) then use the signer, certificate and key files to sign any unsigned applications. I followed this procedure and got succeed.
By manially changing the date back, you mean on the mobile itself? and how far should i go?

Date & Time should be reset to which one? I have tried. At 12/12/2008 9:31AM it gives a message that “Expired Certificate” but at 1 min before i.e. at 9:30AM it gives a message that “Certificate may not yet be valid is expried or phone’s date setting may be incorrect”.
How to resolve this
what date, what is your problem? Have you installed free signer on your mobile?
Do you have your OPDA certificate with you?
i have downloaded the certificate and key from the new site.. not the chinese one… i downloadd it and placed in a folder in my memory card… i removed the certficate and signed it with self sign.. but still it wont install…. grrrrrrrrr… huhuhuh.. please help me….

the other one is the kaspersky antivirus.. still from he same site.. but the error says access not granted…

Hi Steve I have tried to install it on my mobile but it is saying expired certificate as you said. So we need to install it by changing the date manually in trail and error method, so try it.

i dwnlod freesigner an i sign the app i want but but when i click on the app on my phone it said (requested appliction access not granted) hep what must i do????
some application developers have restricted us to sign them and they have signed the apps with a publisher id, so we can not install it by resigning with our OPDA certificate, so install it manually by changing the date.
I downloaded the freesigner and i already hace the cert and the key, but when i try to installe the freesigner into my phone, the message ¨expire certificate¨ appears, if i must change my phone´s date so that it can install, to wat date must i change it, pr what else can i do for it to go through and install? thanks!!

After downloading it to your PC just sign the free signer application using this PC signer and your OPDA certificate and key file, then transfer it to your mobile and install it on your mobile it won’t give you any certificate error here.
After installing it on your mobile just sign all your applications on your mobile itself.

what date you have used while installing to overcome certificate expired error?
Generally they take 4 to 5 days to produce our certificate and key file.
Does it will affect the software of mobile……..
& will it support in NOKIA 5130 Xpress Music

Hi, Bhau, it seems that it is not the problem with the certificate, some developers release their application for testing purpose for specific people and that why it is not allowing you to install.

may be the developer has applied some restrictions on the application. We can’t do anything in that case. You need to contact the developer.
